Recognising that scientific practice is nourished by and involves responsibilities toward the university and public, members coneptualise the Origins Institute as an edifice 'erected' on three intellectual pillars:
1. Science
We conduct transdisciplinary research, run conferences and workshops, and offer positions through a postdoctoral programme.
2. Education
We offer the Origins Research Specialization curriculum for our students to complement studies in their 'home' department through 6 themes:
- The Origin of Space-Time
- The Origins of Structure in the Cosmos
- The Origins of Elements
- The Origins of Life
- The Origins of Species
- The Origin of Humanity
3. Outreach
We run a free colloquium and public lecture series and bring to campus cutting-edge researchers and world-reknowned speakers to meet with our students and engage the public.
