- Research on Exomoons
I am a postdoctoral fellow of the Canadian Astrobiology Training Program in the group of Ralph Pudritz at the McMaster University in Hamilton (ON), Canada. My special interest is in the formation, orbital evolution, and detection of extrasolar moons. To understand how they form around giant planets like Saturn and Jupiter, I simulate the astrophysical processes in the gas and debris disks around these planets when they were young. These models are expressed in a mathematical framework which I process with a computer code. My simulations shall predict the occurrence and the features of massive moons outside the Solar System in order to guide observers towards the first detection of an exomoon.
