Interested in donating to the Origins Institute?

The Origins Institute is a designated strategic priority in The Campaign for McMaster University.

The Origins Institute is committed to the creation of leading international research programmes in several key problems in fundamental science, from the origins of the universe to the appearance of life within it.

We are also dedicated to bring the excitement of this quest to our university students through a novel Origins Undergraduate Research Specialization and a future doctoral programme in astrobiology - Canada's first!

Finally, we are excited by our ongoing efforts to involve the public in our various programmes through our outstanding OI public lecture series.

All of this activity requires extensive funding to support. If you wish to be involved with the development of any of our programmes, please consider donating to our institute in the amount that you wish, to the activity of your particular interest. Our activities are:

  • research
  • university education
  • public lectures and outreach.
